Laddaga Billing Services was started by Liana Laddaga in 2007. As someone whose mother was a mental health counselor, she knows that the complexities of billing insurance companies for provided services takes away valuable time and resources from clinicians that could be better used to serve their patients. Born from the desire to provide reliable, trustworthy insurance billing services, Laddaga Billing Services has grown to employ multiple billers and now works with providers in New England and beyond, to provide efficient and effective billing of claims and persistent follow-up to get those claims paid. The entire staff works hard to stay current with changes and trends within both the insurance industry and mental health services, in order to support their clinicians and enable them to focus on their patients.

Our Leader


Liana.

Liana Laddaga Lech is our Founder and Fearless Leader. In 2007 her mother, who is a mental health counselor with her own private practice, was having a hard time finding a billing person she could work with and trust. Liana was hesitant at first. Although her degree is in business management and she understood the basic concepts of health insurance and billing, she had never done anything like medical billing before. Nevertheless, she was willing to learn. Once she started she couldn't stop. She read books and took classes on billing, then started picking up more clients who needed her services, and found that she was not only good at billing but loved doing it. More than 15 years later, she will be forever grateful to her mother for helping her find her passion.She takes great pride in her work. she isprofessional when dealing with insurance companies but persistent in making sure that claims get paid in a timely manner.

Our Specialists


Christy.

Christy Couture is our Appeals Master. She started working with us in October of 2020, as a data entry specialist and support person for our billers. As she learned more about the ins and out of the business, she began taking on her own provider caseload, working directly with clients and companies. She found that her greatest irritation is unpaid claims and she will chase down insurance companies to get them paid as far as she can possibly go. She has become the key appeals person for us, and she willingly takes on the challenge when any of our providers has a troublesome claim.


Kara.

Kara is our Technology Guru. She came to us in April of 2022 with a background in insurance, finance, and IT. She loves working with providers who need unique solutions to meet their billing needs. She enjoys working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, figuring out how to link non-digital record keeping with electronic filing solutions, helping to track patient accounts and reconcile bookkeeping, and figuring out best practices to make billing as smooth and hassle-free as possible. Additionally, her knowledge of the insurance industry helps the whole team stay current with the rapid pace of changes in both policy and technology.
